Greenway and cycle route to visit
35 km long, the greenway along the west shore of Lake Annecy is one of the oldest bike paths in France. Leaving from the lawns of Pâquier in Annecy, it allows to join Ugine by bicycle on a completely secure route along the lake and through several towns: Sévrier, Saint-Jorioz, Duingt ... It then continues to Ugine through Doussard and Faverges thanks to a cycle route created in 2006. This route, which follows the route of an old railway line, has a very low altitude. It is therefore accessible to all cyclists, amateurs and confirmed, adults and children. From the Ideal campsite, it will only take a few minutes by bike to reach the greenway. You can then turn left towards Annecy along the lake, or turn right to the bike path that leads to Ugine. During this beautiful ride, you will share the path with walkers, runners and rollerbladers.

Lovers of mountain bike will find between mountains and lake a great playground to climb, avoid the roots, dodge tree trunks and hurtling down steep slopes following marked trails. We have gathered for you the 6 most popular mountain bike tours around Lake Annecy: • Along the sources of Lake Annecy (27.5 km - 2h30): departure from the Carré des Tisserands car park in Faverges, possibility start the circuit closer to the campsite from Lathuile. • Sources of Lake Annecy at the gates of the Val d'Arly (9.2 km - 1h30): Very short but very technical course (streams to cross, roots) from the Carré des Tisserands car park in Faverges. • Lake Annecy at the gates of the Val d'Arly (21.5 km - 2h): Pretty loop that starts from the parking of the beach of Doussard, south of the lake. • Around Faverges (12.5 km - 1h30): Beautiful and relatively short ride with a slight drop that allows you to see the castle of Faverges and the archaeological museum. Departure from the Carré des Tisserands car park in Faverges. • From the beach at the end of the lake to the golf terrace (19 km - 1h45): A beautiful loop that starts at the Marais du Bout du Lac nature reserve and runs through the Giez golf course and the Montmin canyon. • Sambuy descent (11.3 km - 1h30): hiking marked (orange tags) difficult in the heart of the Bauges massif that leaves the parking of the resort of Sambuy and you will cross very narrow paths in the undergrowth .
