At the foot of Mount Veyrier, on the eastern shore of Lake Annecy, Veyrier-du-Lac is a town of 2,300 inhabitants that belongs to the canton of Annecy-le-Vieux. It boasts a château built in the 16th century that is now a listed historical monument (Château de Fésigny) and a church dating back to the 19th century (Saint-Maurice Church). As you stroll along the heights, on the ridges of Mount Veyrier and Mount Baron, you will spy a number of belvederes.
